Month-long promotional campaign to feature numerous shopping events and a new fresh channel
Leading Chinese e-commerce platform JD.com has launched its Chinese New Year Grand Promotion to celebrate the Year of the Dragon.
It is the twelfth consecutive year the promotion has been held and will run from 17 January to 17 February.
The month-long promotion will feature several shopping events including “10-billion-yuan Discount” Day, Free Shipping Day, Super Brand Alliance, and the Super Xiaonian (Minor New Year) Live Streaming Night. JD will also offer continuous doorstep delivery service throughout the holiday across China.
JD has enhanced its fresh offering for the promotion introducing an ‘Everyday Fresh Channel’ where vegetables are sourced from the previous day and are only available for sale for a limited 16-hour window to ensure peak quality.
Beijing residents can order fresh groceries through the JD Grocery mini-programme on the JD app, which can deliver orders to customers in as fast as 30 minutes.
