Nisa-Today is adding its voice to those of other retailers with a pledge to promote up to five different fresh produce lines every three weeks on its consumer leaflet in a bid to further raise the profile of the 5-A-Day initiative. From 30 July, Nisa-Today’s stores will be offering consumers own label Heritage and premium Heritage Select fresh produce lines at affordable prices, the firm says, beginning with Heritage Select runner beans (250g and 100 percent extra free at £1.49) and Heritage Select vine tomatoes at 99p; Heritage plums (500g for £1.19), peaches and nectarines (both £1.19 for eight).

Nisa-Today’s was awarded the official ‘5-a-Day’ identity in 2005 on its pre-packed fruit and vegetable range.
