Agrexco is pushing forward in its aim to provide customers with the best packaging for each product, this time focussing on baby leaf lines.

The distinctive new one kilo pack provides 60 per cent more volume and reduced compaction.

Mike Caddy, product manager for fresh herbs, said: 'For the first time, baby leaf has gained its own identity with this unique carton.

'The design of the pack allows air to circulate through the carton, resulting in a better quality product with a longer shelf life, so immediately we are supplying our customers with a unique selling point, enabling the product to establish itself in it's own right in Carmel's stable.

'The label clearly shows the barcoding essential in providing full traceability that goes back to source.' The carton also meets the increasing demands of the catering sector who need to be supplied with product in one kilo packs that are compatible with their other product lines and computerised stock selling systems.
