A new range of speciality fresh herb mixes is set to be introduced in the UK by Israel-based Agriver.
Herbal Spirit was developed following research within a number of focus groups in Israel, and is intended to address a lack of diversity in the market and make the most of the potential for fresh herbs.
The range comprises the Herbal Spirit Tea Mix, for hot drinks, the Herbal Spirit Fish Mix, and the Herbal Spirit Lamb Mix, each specially selected by renowned chefs to serve a dedicated purpose.
The new packaging system will allow a variety of up to six different herbs to be put in each selling unit.
The concept could help introduce herbs to consumers and make their purchases more affordable, said Omer Kamp from Agriver. Consumers will be able to buy just one 50g herb bag containing all six varieties, rather than having to purchase six different herb bags weighing 50g each.
The main concept behind each product is to introduce shoppers to the full potential of fresh-cut herbs. Kamp said: “Unlike the customary routine of purchasing each herb by itself, Herbal Spirit will allow the acquisition of desired herbs for a desired purpose.”
