Fairtrade fruit company AgroFair has announced the opening of a new joint venture sales and marketing office in the US.
The Oké USA Fruit Company was formed by AgroFair, along with with US Fairtrade pioneers Red Tomato and Equal Exchange Inc (USA), to introduce Oké Fairtrade fruit to the US market.
It will be the fifteenth country where AgroFair’s fruit is sold and the sixth where AgroFair has a sales and marketing base.
Oké USA, named after AgroFair’s Oké brand, is selling Fairtrade and organic-Fairtrade bananas from AgroFair’s banana farmers in Costa Rica and Ecuador to independent stores and catering customers in the US.
