Jackson on a mission

Asda buyer Andy Jackson is biking to Spain and back to pick up the last Good Natured Fruit of the Spanish season and bring it to Scotland, where the brand was created.

The ride marks the start of the Scottish season at the end of May.

The proceeds will go to Pedal Power, which funds traffic-free cycle lanes and venues for children.

Olympic gold medallist Sir Chris Hoy and British Cycling performance director David Brailsford are supporters of the initiative that hopes, collectively, to raise more than £1 million.

The journey started in Huelva on May 15 and ended 1,800 miles later on Friday (May 29) at the Good Natured Fruit headquarters in East Seaton, Arbroath.

This is the same distance covered by the Tour de France, usually in 20 days.
