AN AGRICULTURE computer specialist has won a bid for government money to reduce the cost of computer training.

Farmers in Central and Southern England are set to benefit as Landmark offers subsidised courses to upskill agricultural workers.

Landmark Systems director Nigel Parsons said: 'In order to qualify for the group or individual subsidised courses, farmers must have filled in an authorised Skill Check form through LANTRA or a local training group.' The training can be either on a one-to-one farm basis or in groups at selected venues. Under the scheme, funding contributes up to 75 per cent of the cost.
