As part of an on-going campaign to promote healthy eating, Fyffes has joined forces with Hampshire School Caterers to launch a healthy eating programme aimed at schoolchildren.

Fyffes customer adviser, David Sturgess, explained: 'Acting as a link between the brand and the community is a key element of the adviser function at Fyffes.

'We believe there are many ways to communicate the healthy eating message and we've given away our CD-ROM education packs to schools all over the country. With opportunities such as this one to talk to children directly, and our consumer pr programme, we believe we are really making progress.' Along with the promotional team and Freddy Fyffe, Sturgess visited Winklebury Junior School. Freddy encouraged children to take part in an interactive question and answer session exploring where bananas come from and why they are so good for you.
