A handheld Chlorophyll Flurometer for the rapid screening of plant stress has been introduced by ADC BioScientific Ltd.

Using the proven continuous excitation measurement technique, the ADC:OSI 30 provides field investigators with a fast, non-destructive method for the screening of photochemical efficiency.

Weighing just 500g, the battery operated instrument consists of a handheld control module and small sample probe. Field experimentation is carried out via a single key operation. A sampling rate of up to 300,000 points per second ensures both detailed and reliable reporting.

The ADC:OSI 30 has been specifically designed to screen plants as part of research programmes investigating environmental stresses including temperature, pollution, water and nutrient deficiencies.
