Fresh produce refrigeration specialist JD Cooling Systems was recognised for its support of young people at a recent awards ceremony.

The King's Lynn-based business' Scott Berry was crowned the winner of the prestigious national apprentice of the year award at the RAC (Refrigeration & Air Conditioning) National Cooling Industry Awards.

The awards, held at the HIlton Hotle, Park Lane, recognise the best up and coming engineers was announced in front of the industries finest companies.

Award-winning comedy star Russell Kane hosted the evening and kept the audience amused while announcing the winners.

Berry is trained in conjunction with Grimsby College Institute. Richard Corby, service manager at JD Cooling Systems, said: “He has developed into a real leader and an asset to the company."
