Alan McCutchion has stepped down from the role of president of the Fresh Produce Consortium.
Ex-JP man McCutchion had been president of the trade association for 19 months. He will be replaced for the “foreseeable future” by Michael Velasco.
An FPC statement said: “At a Fresh Produce Consortium Council Meeting, Council reluctantly accepted Alan McCutchion’s request to step down as president but were pleased to learn that he would remain a member of Council. Vice president Michael Velasco has assumed the role of acting president for the foreseeable future.
“Council paid tribute to Alan and his contributions over the 19 months since his election to the position. He will continue to be actively involved in those important projects that he has steered so successfully during his term of office.”
