New international sourcing arm Myton International will connect manufacturers with the UK retail and foodservice markets across fresh produce, frozen and ambient

Morrisons is expanding its processing division Myton Food Group overseas with a new international sourcing arm.
The new division, Myton International, comes as Morrisons aims to broaden its own estate by securing additional retail, foodservice and food manufacturing business in the UK and overseas, the Grocer reported.
It will benefit from the 17 UK manufacturing sites owned by Myton Food Group, to process, package and deliver ambient, chilled and frozen categories.
“We are thrilled to launch Myton International. By leaning into our established manufacturing capabilities and our vast network, we are uniquely positioned to bring world-class products to the UK market,” said the division’s general manager, Chris Strong.
“Our goal is to offer a seamless, end-to-end sourcing function that delivers both innovation and value to our partners.
As an in-house division of Morrisons, Myton Food Group is one the UK’s largest food manufacturers, processing meat, fish, produce, baked goods and dairy.
The group packs over 100 million packs of potatoes, carrots and onions a year, and 200 mn packs of fruit, including top fruit and grapes.
It recently partnered with fruit importer Fresh Hub Group to distribute branded grapefruit into Morrisons under the Explore brand.
