Norman Collett supports Plough to Plate

Norman Collett will be partnering Goudhurst Primary School to develop an educational programme focusing on the apple industry in line with the Plough to Plate initiative. It will be launched at the National Fruit Show on October 17.

So far 22 schools in Cornwall and Norfolk have been selected to trial a growing, cooking and eating programme for five to six year olds, embracing a wide range of horticultural crops.

Stage Two will involve refining plants to four regional specialities in the schools area.

In Kent St Nicholas Court is already supporting projects on potatoes, and the crop is even being grown in the playground.
