Foodex Meatex has launched a new event medium for 2004. The virtual show, Foodex Meatex Online Exhibition will enable exhibitors to extend the reach of their product beyond the confines of the four open days of the NEC show.

By taking a ëvirtual stand' at the online exhibition, exhibitors can reach potential visitors in the three weeks prior to the NEC event as well as allowing visitors the opportunity to revisit exhibitions afterwards.

Steve Bax, chief executive of Foodex, said: “We are very excited by this new medium which can help our exhibitors to promote themselves to the industry. The online exhibition does not seek, in any way, to replace the market-leading NEC event. On the contrary, it adds value to the entire Foodex offering. It aids visitors in planning their visit and gives the opportunity to revisit a potential supplier online for up to 12 months after the event. This addition to our portfolio reflects our ethos to be at the forefront of exhibition media for the food industry.

“In line with our focus on providing direct measurability, the online exhibition will do just that. Exhibitors will be able to download a comprehensive breakdown of visitors to their virtual stand and an analysis of what they did during their visit.”
