CSL Evolution gives automatic control of CIPC gassing systems, combined ambient air mixing with refrigeration units, purging, evaporative cooling and ambient dew point control for curing and warming crops.
The system has been tested successfully on a Norfolk Farm, where farm manager Michael England expects a reduction in weight loss of between three and four per cent after 1,200 tonnes of potatoes have been in store for five months. England said: 'It's the biggest step forward we have had in years.' The new controller is being marketed and sold by Crop Systems Ltd.
