QV Foods scooped the first-ever MVS Processor of the Year award at this year’s Re:fresh.
The firm has established one of the leading prepared vegetable factories in the UK, with both its own and private label products being provided to the retail and foodservice sectors.
The company’s prepared factory was designed just over 10 years ago to supply peeled potatoes into high-volume, low-value manufacturing clients.
Now, the QV Foods prepared facility, which originally housed a potato processing line, boasts a vegetable preparation area, additional chilled storage and a high-care packing area, with a focus on both the retail and foodservice sectors. The fresh prepared offer has extended to ready-to-cook products, as the company has continued to develop its offer.
Orchard County Foods and Alfred G Pearce were also finalists in this category.
