Tibbett & Britten Group plc, a UK-based international logistics provider, has announced a revised management structure.

A European division, to be led by newly appointed managing director Saad Hammad, has been established alongside the American division. Hammad will take up the post early in the new year and will have responsibilities for activities in the UK, Ireland and mainland Europe.

Mike Arrowsmith, T&B's chief executive officer, commented: 'Saad brings formidable leadership skills and in-depth experience across a range of sectors. He is well qualified to support and extend the pan-European strategic relationships we are building with our customers.' Additionally, T&B has set up an operating board to formulate group strategy and direct its implementation across the business. The board, to be led by Arrowsmith, will be responsible for driving organic growth, managing global operating performance and meeting financial targets.

Chairman John Harvey said: 'This new management structure is an important step in the group's evolution. With turnover of more than £1.4 billion across 34 countries, the new organisation will provide greater focus, clarity and accountability as we continue our successful development.'
