Sinclair International’s UK plant has announced its new BRC/IoP Approved Supplier status.

Sinclair specialises in the supply of custom-built automatic systems for the application of individual labels - typically PLU and/or brand stickers, to fresh produce.

Tim Watkins, Sinclair’s regional manager for Europe and the Mediterranean, said: “Approved Supplier status against this standard is an extremely important step for us. It will give customers and retailers greater confidence in our products and procedures. Sinclair has always been at the forefront of product certification in our field, and the BRC/IoP status builds on our existing US/FDA and EU compliances.”

Certification to ISO 9001:2000 is expected to follow shortly, Watkins added.

Sinclair first began producing its unique application systems, including its micro-thin labels, 25 years ago in Norwich. Today, Sinclair labels are supplied from plants closer to customers across most principal fruit growing and exporting regions of the world.

Sinclair is working to ensure consistency in all its manufacturing locations worldwide by achieving the same high level of certification - thereby affirming its total commitment to product quality, safety and compliance.
