Somerfield and Leading Edge team up for Mother's Day

Somerfield has announced a range of themed in-store activities for Mothering Sunday.

To coincide with the day on March 21 labels and packaging company Leading Edge has produced a product label and mini leaflet which work alongside the promotional activity.

Leading Edge is producing a label which features across Somerfield fresh flowers and bouquets. This aims to raise awareness of a leaflet-based promotion for Mother’s Day. The label highlights that customers could win a balloon trip to Scotland in a free prize draw.

The mini-leaflet created by Leading Edge has been inserted into packs of Pink Lady apples and offers the opportunity to save 50p when they purchase any Somerfield bouquet priced over £4.99.

Peter Newman, horticultural buyer at Somerfield, said: “Mother’s Day is a significant event for the floral sector at Somerfield. We have introduced a theme which works across the store to create maximum impact and have replicated this in the floral sector with promotional activity. The materials produced by Leading Edge reinforce the in-store theming but also add value to the floral category.”
