TV, and all that Jazz

Tim Emmett, Jazz apples’ intrepid stunt man, is set to take on a task more challenging than any base jump or sky dive: he is to appear on TV.

The fearless apple devotee will appear on BBC1’s ‘Ultimate Rock Climb’, in which he instructs Watchdog presenter Julia Bradbury in climbing, giving viewers a taste of the ‘extreme buzz’ that comes with climbing.

The pair complete three climbs, which become more difficult throughout the programme as Bradbury becomes a more confident climber. The first climb takes place at Commando Ridge in Bosigran in Cornwall, the second in Llanberis in Wales, and the third at The Old Man of Stoer in the Scottish Highlands.

Elated Emmet commented: “Filming for this show was an amazing experience and it was great to take on the role of an instructor which made me much more nervous. Julia did an amazing job, though.

‘It is great that the BBC is showing an interest in climbing. I’m a firm believer in a combination of healthy eating and an active lifestyle.”
