Waitrose shoppers most loyal

Waitrose and Marks & Spencer customers are the most loyal, according to a new survey.

Waitrose topped the customer loyalty poll for the second year running, with M&S hot on its heels in second place.

Sainsbury's retained its third place but Tesco, which came first in the poll in 2004, came fifth last year and only managed sixth in this year’s study.

However, customers said the UK’s number one retailer has the widest range of goods on offer. And Asda, which came seventh, was voted most favourable among customers regarding prices.
