Discount retailer recognised as the best supermarket for fresh and affordable fruit and vegetables by Canstar Blue
Aldi has been named Australia’s top supermarket for fresh fruit and vegetables in Canstar Blue’s Most Satisfied Customer Awards 2025.
Canstar Blue’s Most Satisfied Supermarket Fruits & Vegetables Award was first handed out in 2021, and Aldi has claimed top spot every year. Australian shoppers gave Aldi a five out of five-star rating in four out of five categories. It was the only retailer to receive a five-star rating for freshness and value for money.
“Fresh produce is a huge deal for our customers, so it’s fantastic to be rated number one by Aussie shoppers for the fifth year running,” said Matt Atley, group buying director of fruit and vegetables at Aldi.
“At Aldi, we believe freshness and affordability should go hand in hand, and it’s great to see shoppers recognise us as the best for value, variety, and quality. Our commitment to sourcing 97 per cent of our fruit and veggies from local Aussie growers means we are able to bring our shoppers the freshest fruit and vegetables at affordable prices that really make a difference every day.”
Canstar Blue spokesperson, Eden Radford congratulated Aldi and said fresh produce was an important consideration for Australian shoppers.
”Canstar Blue research shows spending on the items in the fruit and veg aisles has increased by 26 per cent since last year, with households now spending an average of A$49 per week,” said Radford.
“When it comes to the supermarket that offers the pick of the bunch for fruit and vegetables, shoppers have consistently rated ALDI five stars for overall satisfaction, earning the supermarket the Most Satisfied Customer award for an impressive five years. It doesn’t stop there. ALDI has also received a five star rating each and every year for value for money and freshness of produce.”
