Through the partnership customers in more than 80 suburbs in Sydney can shop thousands of Harris Farm products with same-day and next-day delivery.

According to a release announcing the partnership, the milestone marks the first time Australian customers can purchase fresh groceries from the retail giant, alongside the over 55,000 non-perishable grocery items and everyday essentials already on offer.

Harris Farm Markets has maintained high standards for seasonal fruit and vegetables and specialty products for over 50 years and has direct, close relationships with local farmers and suppliers.

Amazon said orders made on Harris Farm Markets on Amazon storefront will be fulfilled by Harris Farm store staff and delivered by Amazon Flex delivery partners within scheduled 2-hour delivery windows. Delivery partners will use specialised insulated and chilled packaging to maintain product freshness and quality throughout the delivery process, the company added.

The two company’s plan to roll out more widely in the Sydney metro area over the course of the year.
