Around 70 pools across Australia will offer free entry for the price of a banana
Australian Bananas has launched Banana Swim Pass, a new promotional campaign that will giving Australian access to a free swim pass in partnership with Olympic champion, Ariarne Titmus.

On 21 January 2026, Australians can swim for free at around 70 participating pools across the nation for one day only. They just have to buy a banana from any local supermarket or grocer and bring it along to a participating swim centre to redeem a free swim pass.
With summer and the school holidays in full swing, the Banana Swim Pass promotion is designed to inspire families, fitness fans and friendship groups to cool off, get moving, and go for a swim.
“The Banana Swim Pass initiative is a fun way to encourage Australians of all ages to jump in and enjoy the benefits of getting active in the water,” said Titmus.
“Swimming has always been a huge part of my life, and it’s something anyone can enjoy, whether you’re chasing fitness goals or just having fun and I love that everyone can rock up with a banana and get in for free. Grab a banana, hit the pool, and make your body swim,”
Shayne Cini, Australian banana grower, added: “It’s great to see Aussies turning our fruit into both their ticket to the pool and their go-to swim snack. The Banana Swim Pass is all about helping people get active, cool off and stay fuelled - and we’re proud that Aussie bananas, packed with the nutrients your body needs, can power everything from laps and lessons to a simple splash with the family right across the country.”
