AU Australia Coles Local convenience store supermarket pilot Ashburton interior displays

Leading local retailer Coles has partnered with News Corp Australia to integrate their range of product offerings into the country’s leading online recipe website.

From Monday 4 November, Coles recipes, promotional content and store locators will be available on the taste.com.au website.

The website’s recipes, with exceed 26,000, will also be matched to Coles’ weekly in-store specials, as well as their online shopping lists function.

Coles’ value offers and coupons available on the site’s 120,000 weekly recipe and shopping printouts.

In return, Coles will promote taste.com.au’s recipes and articles on its website and in-store.

With the popular recipe website enjoying more than 1.9m hits per week and Coles stores being frequented by around 18m customers, the partnership looks to create a unique and broad-reaching platform for Australian shoppers.

“We know our customers are using digital devices in the kitchen to browse through delicious inspiration, but also for very practical purposes, like shopping lists and managing the household food budget,” said Coles Marketing and Store Development Director Simon McDowell.

“We have recognised the rise of the ‘digital kitchen’ and listened to our customers calling for more recipes and better value. This innovative new media partnership with Australia’s favourite food website has been built specifically to meet this need and deliver an experience never before seen in Australia.”
