Lemdell celebrating at the 2025 Fresh Awards

The group was honoured at the 2025 Sydney Markets Fresh Awards, which is now in its tenth year.

Dale Doonan, acting CEO of Sydney Markets, said this year’s awards were a testament to the calibre and commitment of those shaping the future of the Markets.

“The Fresh Awards are a moment to shine a spotlight on those who go above and beyond in quality, service and creativity. We are proud to recognise their outstanding achievements,” he said. “Our winners join a long standing history of excellence in our Markets community who embody pride and purpose in what they do, in particular the seven businesses who have won back to back awards.”

The awards recognised greengrocers, florists, growers, wholesalers, providores, Paddy’s Markets traders and fresh content creators across 22 categories.

Winners were selected following an extensive evaluation process, including mystery shopping visits and expert judging panels. Key criteria included customer service, store presentation, product knowledge, quality, freshness, and innovation.

Sydney Markets is home to the Sydney Produce Market, Sydney Flower Market, Sydney Growers Market, and Paddy’s Markets. Supported by more than 20,000 growers and over 2,000 businesses, it remains one of the largest market hubs in the Southern Hemisphere.
