The total available land in the orchard portfolio is approximately 354ha. According to Ray White, this forms, “one of Victoria’s most significant orchard aggregation transactions in many years”.

The portfolio of orchards includes major holdings from Marenny Vale Orchards and Central Park Orchards and produces approximately 28,150 bins of premium fruit annually for domestic and export trade. Fruit varieties include apples, pears, apricots, cherries and plums.

Infrastructure assets within the portfolio include a central storage facility, packaging and distribution hub located at Shepparton East, as well as a number of residential dwellings, significant shedding for orchard plant and equipment, undercover hardstands and numerous outbuildings.

Water security and infrastructure across all orchards is underpinned by both high and low water shares with a combined total of 1,811.51ML of tradeable water shares.

A substantial inventory of plant and equipment is also available with the sale including fruit bins, fruit graders and packaging equipment, along with general farm tools, implements, and machinery.

In addition to the physical assets, the sale will also cover distribution IP, including well-established premium grower branding and packaging. There will also be the ability to negotiate ongoing day-to-day management of the orchards, storage and distribution hub with members of the aggregation portfolio.

The families have launched an expression of interest (EOI) campaign which will conclude on 30 April 2024. Financial information including top-line revenue and expenses associated with Marenny Vale Orchards and Central Park Orchards portfolios will be made available following proper protocols.
