Trucks deliver New Zealand apples, avocados and kiwifruit directly to Thai customers in NZTE promotion

New Zealand Trade and Enterprise (NZTE) officially launched its 2025 ‘Made With Care New Zealand’ campaign in Thailand with the debut of its fruit truck caravan in the heart of Bangkok.

The campaign aims to deliver premium fresh produce from New Zealand directly to Thai consumers, highlighting New Zealand’s commitment to food safety, high quality, and sustainable farming practices.

The launch event was held at Lido Connect, Siam Square on 5 August, and was attended by Todd McClay, New Zealand’s minister for trade and investment, who was on an official visit to Thailand.

He was joined by Jonathan Kings, New Zealand’s ambassador to Thailand, Suzy Fewtrell, New Zealand trade commissioner to Thailand, and Chatjen Tantakhom, country manager of NZTE Thailand.

The event also welcomed key executives from leading Thai retailers and import partners whose long-standing collaboration has been essential in making premium New Zealand produce widely accessible to Thai consumers.

Retail partners present included CP Axtra, Tops, Big C Supercenter, and Gourmet Market, alongside importers are City Fresh Fruit, Vachamon Food, Navatan World Fruits, and VSM Fruits.

“I would like to thank our business partners in Thailand for playing such a vital role in expanding access to New Zealand produce across the country,” said McClay.

“In the past year, New Zealand exported over NZ$97mn worth of fresh produce to Thailand—around THB 1.9bn. This reflects the trust Thai consumers have in our food: high quality, safe, and sustainably grown. Our partnerships have allowed New Zealand growers to bring their premium, branded fruits to Thai consumers more widely and conveniently than ever before.”

Made With Care New Zealand fruit truck is designed to be a mobile showcase of New Zealand’s cultivation of high-quality, branded and IP varieties.

The truck will feature Envy, Jazz, Dazzle, Rockit and Tarzi apples as well as Zespri kiwifruit and Avanza avocados.

Throughout August, the Fruit Truck will make stops at popular locations across Bangkok, including Lido Connect Siam Square, Makro Ramintra, SWU Night Market, CentralWorld, Gateway Ekkamai, Skywalk Chaengwattana, and Lotus’s Sukhaphiban, offering consumers the chance to experience the taste of New Zealand firsthand
