This expansion forms part of ABC’s long-term renewal strategy in banana production. It will allow ABC to rest and rotate plantations through all existing crop sites, without increasing total market volume, supporting the sustainability and resilience of our banana farming programme.

Premier said the key benefits of the acquisition include enhanced soil regeneration and crop health, continued uplift in fruit quality, Increased geographical diversity across its farming network and reduced food miles due to the farm’s close proximity to ABC’s packing operations.

“Our team is excited about this new banana farming addition as we continue ‘Growing for Future Generations’,” the company said.
