Now in its 18th year, the guide will be available digitally for the first time
Fruit Growers Tasmania joined with Primary Industries minister, Gavin Pearce, and local fruit growers to celebrate the launch of the Seasonal Produce Guide as part of National Ag Day on 21 November 2025.
Now in its 18th year, the guide helps promote Tasmania’s premium fresh produce.
Nic Hansen, Fruit Growers Tasmania president said: “With summer almost here and Christmas only a month away, it’s the perfect time to launch this handy guide. It connects consumers directly with local growers and producers at their farm gates, retail outlets and farmers markets. You can’t beat premium quality Tasmanian fruit bought direct from the source, often only a few hours after it has been picked!
“The summer fruit season is getting into full swing with local strawberries already beginning to hit shelves across the state and the first cherries expected to be available from mid-December. We will also have raspberries, blackberries, and blueberries to look forward to in the coming weeks and months! We really are spoilt for choice here, with our long, slow growing season allowing our fruit to ripen naturally, with intense colour and flavour. I believe Tasmanian fruit is the best tasting fruit you’ll ever experience!”
Pearce commended Fruit Growers Tasmania for another successful launch of the Seasonal Produce Guide.
“This guide is a real asset for those travelling around Tasmania who want to get their hands on our world-class produce,” Pearce said.
“Our fruit and vegetable growers are integral to the agricultural industry, fostering community connections, supporting local economies, and promoting healthy living through providing Tasmania with the availability of nutritious and fresh produce.”
Available for free across Tasmania, 12,000 copies of the Tasmanian Seasonal Produce Guide will be distributed to visitor information centres, Spirit of Tasmania ferries, Hobart and Launceston airports and a variety of tourism and hospitality businesses.
In 2025/26, the Tasmanian Seasonal Produce Guide will also be available as a digital version for the first time, thanks to support from the Tasmanian Government. This new version will feature an interactive map, enabling shoppers to plan their visits directly by location, making the guide more accessible and engaging.
