Nally Folding MegaBin range only pooled bin in Australia to offer six-high stacking

Australian circular logistics provider Viscount has launched a new product line expanding its reusable pooling solutions for bulk goods across fresh produce supply chains and beyond.

The Nally Folding MegaBin range is available in multiple configurations to support diverse supply chain requirements including the 780L Vented, which is described as ‘the original bulk bin’ and is engineered for durability, hygiene and airflow. The 780L Drop Door offers dual drop-down doors for improved ergonomics for manual loading and unloading while the 475L Low Height is best suited for smaller volumes and hard produce such as stone fruit, pumpkins, potatoes, onions and broccolini.

With the Nally Folding MegaBin launch, Viscount has developed a structural breakthrough which allows users to stack the bins six high when fully loaded – the only pooled bin in Australia able to do so. With a maximum load capacity of 550kg, the design maximises vertical storage efficiency while maintaining structural integrity and operational safety.

By enabling six-high stacking rather than the traditional five, Viscount has said operators can reduce forklift movements and handling time, labour inputs and truck loading durations also minimising additional handling within distribution centres.

The MegaBin also features a 3:1 collapse ratio, reducing from 780mm to just 280mm when folded. Collapsed units can then be stored up to 20 high, significantly reducing reverse logistics volume and transport costs while improving warehouse efficiency.

Each bin is RFID-equipped as standard, providing asset visibility across complex national supply chains. However, optional advanced Genius Tag Track & Trace technology allows customers to gain real-time transparency and operational insights, strengthening asset accountability and supply chain efficiency.

Optional advanced tracking capabilities can also deliver predictive alerts for temperature fluctuations and handling incidents, helping protect product integrity, reduce shrinkage and safeguard cold chain performance.

The bins are designed and manufactured in Australia and engineered for high-volume supply chains. The design combines durability with product protection with smooth, non-porous interior surfaces supporting hygiene and easy sanitation, and rounded corners to reduce bruising and product damage. Integrated ventilation slots optimise airflow, helping maintain freshness and extend shelf life.

The bins are also automation-ready, compatible with tipping systems, washing facilities, conveyors and beam racking – enabling seamless integration into modern processing environments.

The new launch operates within Viscount’s pooling ecosystem where bins arrive washed, sanitised and ready to load. At the end of use, bins are then returned to Viscount where they are professionally cleaned, inspected and redistributed – eliminating the disposal, repacking and waste associated with single-use cardboard or timber packaging.

By eliminating nails, staples and timber pallet dependency, the system improves workplace safety while reducing packaging waste. At the end of its service life, materials are then recovered and repurposed, supporting Viscount’s commitment to circular manufacturing and zero-waste outcomes.
