The promotion will run from Wednesday 28 February until 28 May 2024.

Woolworths has announced it will drop the price of more than 400 items by an average of 18 per cent as part of a new promotion this autumn.

The price reductions cover a range of grocery staples including salad bowls and bags; packs of bananas, pears and apples; spring onions and various potato bags.

The dropped prices will be available for three months from Wednesday 28 February until 28 May 2024.

Woolworths Supermarkets chief commercial officer Paul Harker said: “We know our customers are looking for lower prices and we want to help them to spend less when they shop with us.”

According to Harker, the Prices Dropped for autumn programme will run alongside Woolworths’ 6,000 weekly specials and Low Price options.

“This season we’ve included a range of products on Prices Dropped for autumn to ensure families can pick up ingredients for meals, snacks for the family and kids lunch boxes, as well as household essentials at even greater value,” he said.

Woolworths’ Australian First Sourcing Policy means that it’s committed to selecting fresh home grown produce wherever possible. Currently, 96 per cent of the supermarket’s fresh fruit and vegetables come from Australia.
