AU Australian delegates at Xinfadi market

Wholesalers at China’s Xinfadi market in southern Beijing will be halved to 2,000 tenants as the market upgrades its services over the coming five years.

“We will integrate some smaller wholesalers into bigger ones, and only keep the strong players in the market,” Zhang Yuxi, director of the board of Xinfadi Agricultural Goods Incorporation told China.org.

“We plan to build better facilities in the market and improve its surroundings and ease traffic jams in the area.”

Xinfadi houses 5,000 wholesalers trading 14m tonnes of meat, fruit and vegetables each year.
