Worldwide Fruit has set up a Jazz Apple Foundation to donate money to charitable causes.
Money from UK Jazz sales will be donated to the foundation each apple season, with the monthly awards aimed at benefiting those who share the brand’s core values, such as nourishing and supporting the next generation of consumers, encouraging the consumption of an apple a day and a healthy, balanced diet, and the belief that sport and physical exercise are vital for a healthy body, mind and soul.
“We are incredibly excited to be launching the Jazz Apple Foundation to support the causes that really matter to the growing army of Jazz Apple fans in the UK," said Gary Harrison, Jazz Apple commercial manager at Worldwide Fruit. "We can’t wait to hear from them and start making a real difference in communities throughout the UK.”
Consumers can apply for the cash by downloading an application form from www.jazzapples.co.uk/news/foundation or the Jazz Apple UK Facebook page. The first award will be announced on 2 June and then on a monthly basis.
Jazz will once again be sampling at the BBC Good Food Show in June and will be using the show to drive awareness and entries for the foundation. All takings from the show will also be donated to the Foundation.
