In the first time that all of its sites have achieved the Gold accreditation for the programme, LINPAC, a leading provider of packaging across Europe and the UK, has been awarded the prestigious certification for its Health, Safety, Hygiene and Environment (HSHE) management programme.

The Gold accreditation was created by LINPAC in 1998 to encourage higher standards of safety for all of its 4,000 employees throughout the business. To comply with the terms of the HSHE programme, which is embedded within LINPAC’s culture, each site is audited on an annual basis and ad hoc spot audits are conducted. Where appropriate, and as a result of the audit, recommended actions are given which must be completed within an agreed timeframe.

“We would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our employees for their commitment and continued improvement with regard to the HSHE programme. To have every LINPAC site in the division achieving gold accreditation is a great achievement,” said divisional HSHE manager, Ian McCormick. “As a company LINPAC takes health and safety very seriously and with the support and guidance of the LINPAC board of directors and the HSHE team I am sure that we can maintain and even improve our standards further.”

In the UK the HSHE team actively participate in the HSE Revitalising Network both through their attendance and also as representatives of best practice. The team is regularly asked to deliver seminars and workshops to likeminded organisations.
