Tesco has slashed the price of its ‘Festive Five’ Christmas vegetable promotion with five key items selling for 39p.
Products included in this year’s campaign include 500g Brussels sprouts, cauliflower, 500g parsnips, 1kg carrots and 2.5kg white potatoes.The new discounted range comes amid other Christmas deals on produce including 600g of clementines from 69p.
Last year's inaugural Festive Five campaign saw Tesco promote key fresh produce items for 49p.
A spokesperson said: 'The Festive Five offers shoppers great value deals on great quality produce.
“With simple, low and consistent pricing on our celebratory dinner vegetables, we are helping to take some of the stress out of customers Christmas shop, as well as providing fantastic savings.”
News that cauliflower will be included in Tesco's Festive Five comes as UK suppliers warned of a 'nightmare glut' as an unseasonably warm November saw all crops mature together, with the warning of a potential supply gap in early New Year.
