This year's Great British Tomato Conference is promising a mix of commercial, technical and issue-based content at Chesford Grange in Warwick on 28-29 September.

A pre-event Growsave workshop, free to AHDB members, takes place on 28 September and will focus on CO2-related issues. That will be followed by the Tomato Growers Association AGM and dinner, which will feature after-dinner speaker Martin Hewitt.

Hewitt is a former army captain who went on to represent Britain as a paralympian, as well as walking to the North Pole with Prince Harry.

Speakers during the main conference include Ollie Lloyd from Great British Chefs, Kantar's Chris Cowan, Chris Baldwin from APS Salads and the NFU's Chris Hartfield, among others.

There will also be presentations on managing pests and disease from James Hutton and Warwick University speakers.

Delegates can register at conferencebookings@britishtomatoes.co.uk.
