Fowler Welch to collect produce for FareShare

Produce distributor Fowler Welch has signed a landmark deal with food charity network FareShare to help its customers redistribute edible food waste.

The deal is currently being trialled with the company’s customers on the south coast area, with surplus food then being redistributed to the FareShare network via Fowler Welch’s national links.

Previously, fresh produce suppliers working with Fowler Welch could not easily coordinate food donations to FareShare. Now, their edible waste will be collected alongside existing order collections from Fowler Welch, before being redistributed to those in need.
