Health benefits of cherries to be highlighted at promotional events held in a number of Chinese cities

Northwest cherry promotional events have been held across China as the 2022 US cherry export season ramps up.

Industry body Northwest Cherry Growers (NWCG) has highlighted health as a key component of its promotional efforts this season, a theme set to run across the multiple events planned in July.

The first of these was held in Guangzhou and attended by aerobics world champion Huang Jinxuan. Huang was invited by the NWCG to be the 2022 Northwest cherry spokeswoman and will promote a healthy lifestyle, encourage consumers to eat more fresh fruits, exercise regularly, and promote the health benefits of Northwest cherries.

Following Guangzhou, promotional events will be held in Hangzhou, Changsha and Chengdu.
