More than 3,000 buyers and importers from 50 countries are expected to visit the annual international exhibition, Agro Mashov, which will run from January 14-15, 2009 at the Tel Aviv Exhibition Grounds.

The 19th annual international Agro Mashov exhibition will focus on solutions for the global food crisis and severe water crisis. The exhibition will also address global warming, how climatic changes affect production volume and fruit and vegetable prices, and how the price of fuel affects food prices.

The exhibition will also include a Vegetables Flowers Fruit (VFF) summit for marketing of fresh fruit, vegetables, flowers, spices and organic produce and host an International symposium about fresh produce marketing. The symposium hopes to bring together the expertise of the growers and the professional knowledge of the buyers to create a cohesive and profitable produce marketing process.

Many companies have already confirmed their arrival, including Carrefour and Leclerc, Tesco, Marks & Spencer and the Flower Exchange. More than 100 companies from Israel and other countries have already confirmed their participation in the exhibition.
