The combination of drought and frosts is threatening the long-term health of stone fruit and citrus trees as well as this year’s crop in Andalusia, a growers' spokesman has said.
Salads and vegetables could also be affected the president of Asaja-Andalusia, Ricardo Serra, said.
“These drastic conditions we are suffering in which drought and frost have combined unfortunately remind us of the 2004-05 season,” he said.
In that season, similar conditions led to major losses.
