Fresh produce brand marketer Coregeo has appointed MCG’s Kyla Flynn as PR and social media manager.

In her new role, Flynn will have responsibility for all the fresh produce brands in the Coregeo stable – Pink Lady, Tenderstem, Metis and Bimi – as well as managing the company’s relationship with her former company, the Leeds-based social media agency MCG.

Her remit includes ensuring that Coregeo’s overall communications strategy aligns closely with the brands’ wider marketing activities.

At MCG she was account director, focusing mainly on growing the social media element of the Coregeo account.

“Kyla’s skillset and experience in the fast-moving and constantly shifting social media and digital environment, as well as her specific experience working on our account at MCG, make her a perfect fit for our business,” said Coregeo head of group marketing Michelle Evans.

“This area is a key element of our marketing strategy and Kyla’s appointment as a senior member of the marketing team will ensure we continue to deliver high-impact campaigns that stand out, resonate with our consumers and drive sales.”

Now in its second season at Tesco, Gem is a gourmet avocado brand developed by Westfalia Fruit.Working with Coregeo, the avocado supplier hasjoined forces with social media ‘influencers’to promote the product and encourage consumers to prepare it in inventive ways.
