The conference, organised in association with the Soil Association in the UK and Germany’s Demeter International, aims to bring together new research and ideas from leading people in the organic industry.
“Many companies have experienced a continuous sales increase averaging 20 per cent a year,” said a conference spokesperson. “With the passing of organic food laws in both Europe and the US, the cutting edge of organic seems to have disappeared. However, there are new issues emerging in the marketplace which deserved to be explored; food safety and health, ecology and organic farming and social justice.”
The conference is funded by four main sponsors including Eosta BV, and coincides with the launch of the Nature & More Foundation, a forum for all stakeholders in the organic industry to further the goals of organic agriculture.
