US packaging specialist Inline Plastics is hoping to make greater inroads into Europe with an expansion in its facilities and tamper-safe solution for sprouting seeds.

“Inline Plastics can export to the UK from our manufacturing facilities in Connecticut and Georgia,” said Herb Knutson, director of marketing at Inline. “We have just increased production capacity and will be marketing more heavily in Europe in the coming year.

“One of our Safe-T-Fresh tamper resistant, tamper evident containers could be used for sprouting seeds. The Safe-T-Fresh seal and tear strip keep the container secure until the consumer gets the product home. The tight seal prevents unwanted access to the container, and if the tear strip is torn, or missing, it indicates that the container has been tampered with. “

Inline believes that its product has an advantage over other clamshell-style and two-piece containers as Safe-T-Fresh does not require the same labour-intensive and costly shrink bands.
