Farmer and television presenter Jimmy Doherty is helping to launch The Co-operative’s Green Schools Revolution.
The new initiative will see practical green lessons become an integral part of school life for millions of children.
The Co-operative said in a statement: “From learning about where food comes from by visiting a Co-operative farm, to setting up a walking bus and learning about renewable energy at a wind farm, the programme is designed to bring environmental learning to life.”
Green Schools Revolution forms part of The Co-operative’s Inspiring Young People campaign and schools are invited to sign up for free to benefit from a whole host of material designed to encourage children to take care of the environment. In addition to the schools’ activities provided,
