Five concurrent exhibitions showcase global trends across entire supply chain
This year’s Food Taipei Mega Show welcomed a record breaking 1,650 exhibitors across 4,500 booths at Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center Halls 1 and 2 from 25 to 28 June.
Organised by the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA), the flagship show brought together five concurrent exhibitions: Food Taipei, Foodtech Taipei, Bio/Pharmatech Taiwan, Taipei Pack, and Taiwan Horeca.
Pioneering the future: precision nutrition and green intelligence
The event was themed “Precision Nutrition” and “Green Intelligence,” reflecting the industry’s commitment to digital transformation, net-zero goals, sustainable packaging, and health-focused diets.
”The Taiwanese snack market is trending toward health and diversity, with a focus on natural, organic, and functional ingredients,” said TAITRA chairman James Huang. ”Fresh produce is increasingly being incorporated into snack products, such as dried pineapple, dried mango, and various nuts, becoming an important source of healthy snacks. These products retain natural nutrients and, through innovative processing and packaging, offer improved shelf life and convenience, attracting health-conscious consumers.”
This year also saw a newly launched 3D visual identity symbolising the synergy among the five shows and illustrating the convergence of food, technology, and culture.
Spotlight on innovation: future food pavilion and global showcase
The Future Food Pavilion was a highlight of the exhibition, featuring breakthroughs in plant-based innovation, novel ingredients, and precision nutrition technologies. Exhibits across the third floors of TaiNEX 1 and 2 showcased a wide array of premium sustainable health foods, reflecting both technological progress and cultural richness.
International participation also reached an all-time high, with companies from 33 countries including Mongolia, Korea, Japan, Mozambique, Spain and India embodying the event’s global reach and product diversity.
Taiwan’s local strength and agricultural innovation
Taiwan’s local presence was equally impressive with 16 city and county government booths, including Pingtung and Tainan, returning after several years.
The Taiwan Pavilion was themed “Elevating Taste, Sharing with the World,” and featured 93 premium domestic brands. The Taichung Pavilion focused on organic produce and innovative agricultural products featuring leading companies such as Lian-Hwa Foods, Chi Mei, and Anyong Freshmart, representing the diversity and energy of Taiwan’s food industry.
Empowering sustainability through forums and awards
Alongside the exhibition, Food Taipei hosted a series of forums and networking opportunities designed to foster cross-border collaboration and industry sustainability.
The Green Vision Award, aligned with international ESG benchmarks, honoured 18 companies for excellence in energy conservation, circular packaging, green supply chains, and corporate responsibility.
The Food Innovation Trends Forum on 26 June invited experts from Germany, Japan, and Taiwan to share insights on cutting-edge food technologies and market evolution.
Additional activities included international procurement meetings, guided tours, and business networking sessions, enabling participants to seize global opportunities and explore emerging food trends.
