Exotic mushroom supplier based in the Netherlands says new UK facility will improve delivery times and strengthen supply chains for British customers

Dutch mushroom wholesaler Mitrofresh has opened a new distribution centre in Britain, describing the move as “an important step” in strengthening its supply chain and bringing its products closer to its UK customers.
“With this new strategic expansion, we can offer faster deliveries, greater flexibility, and even better service across the UK,” the company said in a statement.
The supplier, which specialises in exotic mushrooms, described the opening as a “big milestone” in its international growth.
The UK expansion follows the opening of the company’s office in Guangzhou, China in 2025 as part of a push to strengthen international presence and strengthen supply chains.
Established in 2008 and based in Maasdijk, Netherlands, the company exports over 200 exotic and Asian products to wholesale and retail customers across 28 countries.
The Mitrofresh catalogue features over 200 exotic and Asian products including oyster, shiitake and maitake mushroom varieties, as well as choy sum, wintermelon and snake fruit.
