The Co-operative is set to become the latest supermarket to sell groceries online, according to reports.
The mutually-owned retailer will begin the first of four trials in December, with each testing a different model of delivery to customers.
Following in the footsteps of Morrisons, which is set to start up an Ocado-backed online service next year, the move should mean that each of the six largest UK supermarkets will offer an online service from 2014.
In the 12 weeks to 7 July, the Co-operative posted the slowest sales growth (0.2 per cent) out of any of the top six supermarkets, according to Kantar Worldpanel.
