Move is one of a number of price initiatives announced by the retailer this week

Sainsbury’s has upped its value offer by extending its Aldi Price Match campaign and adding frozen foods to Nectar Prices.

The supermarket announced that it has this week added over 40 products to its Aldi Price Match initiative, taking it to over 400 products. It said it was making the move as food inflation has started to slow and it wants to pass on savings to customers. 

Among the deals is a 325g tin of own-label Naturally Sweet Sweetcorn in Water, down 30p at 65p.

Nectar Prices – which offer Nectar customers lower prices on a range of products – is also now available on frozen foods for the first time, completing the roll out of Nectar Prices across Sainsbury’s.

The move means that customers can now get Nectar Prices on over 5,000 products in stores and online, with new deals launching this week inclulding 400g of frozen blueberries, 50p off at £2.

In a further move, Sainsbury’s is expanding its Pocket Friendly Prices campaign to 55 products across most of its convenience store. This campaign highlights the  everyday competitive value the retailer is offering on the most popular essentials in conveniencce.
