Harwood has a vast knowledge and experience of working within the vegetable industry in the UK and Europe, and in 1998 he completed a Masters Degree in Business Administration at the University of Sheffield.

Arend Schot, the company’s sales director for Northern Europe, said: “Throughout his working life Keith has been involved in agriculture and horticulture. He has a thorough understanding of related issues such as grower profitability, end user demands for quality assurance, environmental pressures and EU regulations.

Syngenta has also announced that Geoff Cox, sales representative for the Lincolnshire area has retired. Schot said: “Geoff joined our company in 1977 and has always been a dedicated salesman. He has proved a fine ambassador for the company.”
